Service · Northern Virginia
Overgrown limbs trimmed, trees and shrubs pruned and shaped, small trees taken down. Nelson looks at the tree in person and gives you a written quote before any work starts.

01 — The work
Trees in Northern Virginia grow fast and get ignored for years — until a limb hangs over the roof, a branch scrapes the driveway, or a hedge swallows the front walk. Most of what we do is bringing overgrown trees and shrubs back under control before a winter storm does it for you.
We trim and prune ornamental and shade trees, shape hedges and shrubs, and remove small trees — roughly 30 feet and under. If a tree is bigger than that, close to power lines, or needs a climber and a crane, we tell you up front and point you to a tree company that handles that work. No guessing over the phone.
Every job starts with Nelson looking at the tree in person. You get a written quote that spells out what gets cut, what stays, and what happens to the cut material. Work starts only after you approve it.
03 — Where we work
Fairfax · Loudoun · Prince William · ArlingtonWe trim, prune and remove small trees across Northern Virginia — Springfield, Fairfax, Burke, Annandale, Alexandria and Vienna most weeks. Based in Springfield; typical drive time across our service area is under 45 minutes.
04 — How the project runs
Call the office or pick a time online. Nelson comes out, looks at the tree, and listens to what is bothering you — the limb over the roof, the hedge taking the sidewalk, the dead tree by the fence.
If the tree is bigger than we handle, near power lines, or needs a crane, we say so on the spot and refer you to the right tree company. No surprise quote for work we are not set up to do.
You get a written quote that spells out what gets trimmed, what gets removed, and what happens to the cut material. Nothing starts until you approve it.
We cut what the quote says and nothing more. Clean cuts at the branch collar, no topping, no stubs — the tree heals and keeps its shape.
Nelson walks the finished work with you before the final invoice. If something is not right, we fix it before we leave.
06 — Questions
6 answeredSmall to mid-size trees, roughly 30 feet and under — ornamental trees, young maples and oaks, dead or leaning trees near a fence or shed. For taller trees, anything near power lines, or removals that need a climber or a crane, we refer you to a tree company that does that work. We tell you on the first visit, not after the quote.
Late fall through late winter, when the tree is dormant and the branch structure is easy to see. Dead, broken or hazardous limbs can come off any time of year. Spring-flowering trees are best pruned right after they bloom.
Yes. Boxwood, holly, arborvitae, privet, azalea — shaped, thinned or cut back hard when they have outgrown the spot. We also clear shrubs that are crowding walkways, windows and air-conditioning units.
What happens to the cut material is written into the quote before you approve it, so there are no surprises on the day. Tell Nelson what you prefer during the visit.
No. Topping leaves stubs that rot and sprout weak growth that breaks in the next storm. We thin and reduce the crown with proper cuts at the branch collar so the tree stays healthy and keeps its shape.
Sí. Se habla español. Call or book a visit and we can walk through the job in Spanish or English.
