What goes into a fence installation project.
A good fence is part privacy, part security, part curb appeal — and it's one of the few projects that touches every property line you share. We build fences that hold up to twenty Mid-Atlantic winters and look intentional with the house, not bolted on.
Most of our fence projects in Springfield, Fairfax and Alexandria are vinyl privacy or aluminum picket. We also install wood (cedar, pressure-treated pine) and chain-link when that's the right call.
Posts are set in concrete below the frost line. Gates are framed for the slope and re-hung after the ground settles. No half-measures.

Vinyl (privacy and picket), wood (cedar, pressure-treated pine, board-on-board), aluminum (picket, ornamental, pool-code), and chain-link. During the free consultation Nelson walks the property and recommends what fits the house, your privacy needs, and the budget.
How long does fence installation take?+
Most residential fence projects in Northern Virginia take 2–4 days on-site once we start. Bigger lots or custom designs can take a week. We give you a written start date in the estimate — and we hold to it.
Do you handle permits?+
We tell you up-front whether your jurisdiction requires a fence permit (Fairfax County, Alexandria, Arlington and Falls Church each have different rules). For most residential fences we pull the permit on your behalf and handle inspection scheduling.
What's the warranty?+
You get an industry-standard workmanship warranty in writing on the estimate. Manufacturer warranties on vinyl and aluminum components (typically 20+ years for vinyl) pass through to you. We answer the phone after the install — that part matters more than the paperwork.
Do you do repairs or only new installs?+
Both. Storm damage, leaning posts, broken pickets, gate sag — if it can be repaired we repair it. If it makes more sense to replace a section, we tell you that too. We never push a full replacement when a repair will hold.
