01 — The work

What goes into a driveways project.

A driveway is the largest piece of hardscape on most properties and the one most exposed to weather, weight and salt. The cheapest version is also the one most likely to crack, settle, or peel before the loan is paid off.

We install stamped concrete, paver, and traditional broom-finish concrete driveways across Northern Virginia. Every one starts with proper excavation, geotextile fabric where needed, and a compacted aggregate base spec'd for vehicle loads — not the 2-inch shortcut some contractors get away with on the first winter.

We also repair existing driveways: crack repair, joint sealing, paver reset, and full overlay where it makes sense. If the existing surface is too far gone, we'll tell you that instead of charging for a repair that won't hold.

06 — Questions

5 answered
Stamped vs traditional concrete vs pavers — which should I pick?+

Stamped concrete looks like stone or brick at concrete pricing — popular for matching a stone home. Traditional broom-finish is the most economical and easiest to repair. Pavers are the most expensive up-front but the easiest to repair (lift one out, replace it) and have the longest practical life. We walk through all three during the consult.

How long does driveway installation take?+

A typical residential driveway in NoVA is 5–10 days on-site including demo, excavation, base prep, install and cure time. Concrete needs 5–7 days of cure before vehicles drive on it; pavers can be used immediately after install. We give you a clear schedule and access plan in the estimate.

Can you fix cracks in an existing driveway?+

Yes — crack repair, joint resealing and surface patching when the slab is structurally sound. If the cracks indicate base failure (settling, heaving, multiple wide cracks), patching it is throwing money away and we'll tell you that. Honest answer comes first.

What's the lifespan of a driveway?+

Properly installed stamped or traditional concrete in NoVA lasts 25–35 years. Paver driveways routinely go 40+ because individual units can be lifted and reset. Lifespan is almost entirely about base prep and drainage — both things we engineer for from day one.

Do you offer financing?+

We don't run an in-house financing program, but most clients use a HELOC or home-improvement loan for larger driveway projects. Some of our manufacturer partners offer promotional financing on paver driveways — we'll let you know what's available at the time of estimate.
